  • What is the difference between 2 cm granites and 3 cm granites?

The primary distinction lies in their thickness. 2 cm granite measures ¾ inch thick, while 3 cm granite is 1 ¼ inches thick. The 2 cm option is suitable for certain bathroom vanities or fireplace hearths. For residential applications at Excellence by Nature, 3 cm thickness is typically preferred, especially in areas with substantial overhangs where additional thickness is necessary.

  • If I get granite countertops, will there be seams?

Due to the size limitations of granite slabs, most large installations require seams to ensure that our crew can transport and install the countertops safely. To make the seams as subtle as possible, we use a 2-part, color-matched epoxy.

  • Do granite countertops need to be sealed?

Indeed, sealing is essential for all natural stones due to their porous nature. Our installation team applies a sealant to all installed countertops. For maintenance, we recommend using blue Dawn dish soap, 409 Stone and Steel Cleaner, or Dupont Revitalizer to preserve the effectiveness of the stone sealer.
  • Is radon in granite countertops something I should worry about?

According to extensive studies conducted by the Marble Institute of America, the minimal amounts of radon emitted by granite countertops do not pose any significant health risks to homeowners or consumers. These findings should alleviate any concerns regarding radon exposure from granite surfaces in your home.
  • How can I estimate the cost of my granite countertops?

To obtain a cost estimate, we recommend bringing a basic sketch of the area requiring granite countertops, along with approximate measurements, to our showroom. Our team will assist you in exploring countertop options and provide price estimates based on your drawing and color preferences. Rest assured, our crew will take precise measurements before any cutting begins.
  • Is it possible to choose my granite slabs?

We recommend selecting your granite slab(s) before the fabrication process begins, as granite is a natural material and can vary significantly from one slab to another.

  • Why should I choose your company over others?
